Gosforth Junior Chess Club will be running throughout the summer for those who wish to come along. Saturday 10 till 12, visit website for details or email mickriding@hotmail.co.uk And other activity – 

• July 21, latest round of our Blitz Grand Prix. Juniors welcome. 7 rounds of 5+3. £5 adults, £2.50 juniors. 
• July 26, after juniors (10 till 12) we will be in Gosforth Park, subject to weather of course. Hoping we get enough to run a competition and attract passing interest.

Mick Riding of Gosforth Chess Club is organising this year’s Pennine Cup Team.

On Sunday Feb 23 Northumberland will be entering 2 x 6 man teams in the Pennine Cup, a junior event for Northern Counties.

This is primarily aimed at experienced Senior School children.
